Legendary comedian Paula Poundstone is coming to the Marin Center Showcase Theatre for two special performances on Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15, 2026 at 7:30 PM.
Known for her brilliant observational humor and legendary spontaneous wit, Paula has been named by Time magazine as one of the 5 Funniest Stand-Up Specials Ever for her HBO special, Cats, Cops and Stuff. She's also the beloved host of the comedy podcast Nobody Listens to Paula Poundstone and a regular panelist on NPR's hit quiz show Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!
As an author, her book The Totally Unscientific Study Of The Search For Human Happiness was a semi-finalist for the prestigious Thurber Prize for American Humor. A true trailblazer, Paula was the first female comic to perform at the White House Correspondents' Dinner and the first female standup to win the ACE Award for Best Comedy Special on Cable TV.
