For those days when the bivalve craving hits and you can’t make it to one of the Hog Island-owned establishments on Tomales Bay, the Marin Country Mart has got your back. The view from an outside table over Corte Madera Creek towards the Headlands is just as Marin-specific as in West Marin. The sustainable shellfish and seafood-focused menu is top-heavy with local oysters and the po’boy sandwich is likely to feature fried oysters, a rather uncommon sight in Marin. If it’s summer, ask if the seasonal salad includes Frog Hollow’s peaches. They are twice as nice in August.
