The Tiburon Playhouse Foundation will welcome legendary actor Bruce Dern as Guest of Honor at its inaugural fundraising gala on Thursday, November 5, from 5:30–9:30 p.m. at Cinelounge® Tiburon.
The evening will celebrate Dern’s remarkable career and a lifetime devoted to cinema while raising funds for the Tiburon Playhouse Foundation and its mission to preserve and support Tiburon’s independent movie theater and its role in the community.
The celebration will begin with a red carpet reception featuring drinks and food, with Bruce Dern in attendance. Reception-only tickets will be available, allowing more members of the community to take part in the opening celebration before the gala continues at Cinelounge.
Following the reception, a limited group of approximately 60 gala guests will attend a special screening of director Mike Mendez’s Dernsie: The Amazing Life of Bruce Dern. After the film, Dern and Mendez will take the stage together for an intimate conversation about the documentary, Dern’s life and his extraordinary career in Hollywood.
The evening will culminate with a special award presented to Dern by the Tiburon Playhouse Foundation, honoring his extraordinary contribution to cinema.
