CineLounge Tiburon presents Gilda, the classic 1946 Romance/Film Noir directed by Charles Vidor and written by Marion Parsonnet.
This black-and-white masterpiece runs 110 minutes and stars Rita Hayworth, Glenn Ford, George Macready, Joseph Calleia, Steven Garay, and Joe Sawyer.
The story follows small-time crooked gambler Johnny Farrell, who is saved from a gunman in Argentina by the sinister Ballin Mundson, who then makes Johnny his right-hand man. Their uneasy friendship is shattered when Mundson returns from a trip with a new wife — the supremely desirable Gilda, whom Johnny once knew and learned to hate. As warring emotions collide between Johnny and Gilda, the intrigue deepens even further after Mundson mysteriously disappears.
