Glen Phillips, the beloved lead singer and main songwriter of Toad the Wet Sprocket, performa live in HopMonk on Wednesday, April 8th.
With nearly 40 years of crafting elegant folk/pop music with honest, introspective lyrics, Glen has built a legendary bond with fans through his work with Toad and a series of acclaimed solo albums. He has collaborated on diverse projects ranging from Mutual Admiration Society (with members of Nickel Creek) to the experimental Remote Tree Children. Glen is also known for his creative songwriting partnership with Texas folk singer Matt The Electrician — a weekly game that consistently surprises even himself.
Special guest Garrison Starr joins the bill for what promises to be an intimate, storytelling-rich evening. The show is partially seated, so come ready for a relaxed, up-close experience with a true craftsman of song.
