Marin Theatre Company's second show of its 2024/25 season is Waste, a fascinating and topical political drama written by Harley Granville-Barker.
In this thriller, a politician’s illicit affair turns tragic. Rather than finding sympathy or outrage for his victim, the work cynically focuses instead on the politician and his colleagues, who scramble to salvage his reputation. British Theatre lauded a recent U.K. revival of Waste for its “crackling dialogue” and called it “Extraordinary."
The fresh take on this rarely seen century-old political play will see MTC's new Artistic Director Lance Gardner returning to the stage for the first time in several years, as the ambitious politician under fire. This gripping work is sure to have you on the edge of your seat.
