Get ready for a night of rock-tinged Americana and good vibes with Moonalice, Marin's favorite psychedelic soul collective. This exuberant Bay Area ten-piece band is bringing their Gathering of the Tribe show to Sweetwater on Sunday, April 19th.
Led by vocalist Lester Chambers, who co-founded the pioneering '60s psychedelic soul group The Chambers Brothers, the band boasts an incredible musical family tree. Bassist Pete Sears is a founding member of Jefferson Starship who has played with everyone from Rod Stewart to Jimi Hendrix, and guitarist Roger McNamee was an advisor to both the Grateful Dead and U2. The lineup also features Barry Sless on lead guitar and pedal steel, Jason Crosby on keyboards, Grammy winner John Molo on drums, and next-generation legends including Dylan Chambers and the T Sisters.
Moonalice carries a renegade spirit and an ethos of love, peace, and happiness that shines through every show.
