Mill Valley Downtown Plaza

Winterfest returns once again to Mill Valley's Downtown Plaza on Sunday, December 8th (2pm - 6pm).

This joyous Holiday event is a celebration of Mill Valley's broader business community and the incredibly vibrant downtown. Over 1,000 people gathered in the center of town last year to celebrate the Holiday Season.

Family and friends will be gathering for an evening of good cheer, including live music from a number of amazing local bands. There will also be a visit from Santa Claus. as well as a Kid-Centric Train Ride around Lytton Square from 2pm - 5pm!

The festivities cap off with the annual Tree Lighting on the Plaza at 5:30pm!

Winter Wonderland returns to the Marin Art and Garden Center on December 6–15, and the Ross Auxiliary Winterfest on December 7. Get ready to lace up your ice skates for a spin under falling snow and twinkling lights.

Town of San Anselmo

Downtown San Anselmo's annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony is on Saturday, December 7th, and promises to be an evening of magic and whimsy on the Avenue. 

The festivities kick off at Imagination Park at 5pm with the tree lighting. There will also be free cocoa and cookies, an opening ceremony by the Pack 50 Cub scouts, free train rides, and selfies with Santa! This is a magical and old-fashioned event for all ages that is sure to get you and the family into the holiday spirit!

Visit Novato

For over 60 years Novato families have enjoyed the holiday tree lighting tradition in Downtown Novato on the first weekend of December. Sherman and Grant Avenues come alive with activity, craft booths and artisan vendor booths as well as holiday food vendors from hot chocolate to baked goods. 

The holiday spirit floats through the air with musical and dancing performances on the stage from 4-7:30pm. The magic hits a high note as Santa and his Elves ride into town on the Novato Fire Department Ladder Truck! At 5:30pm the countdown begins and with the flip of a switch, the massive pine tree at the corner of Sherman and De Long Avenues comes to life with over 40,000 twinkling lights and the outline of City Hall sparkles with beautiful white lights. Join the hundreds of families as they enjoy children’s activities, Santa’s Village and so much more.

The City of Sausalito

Sausalito's waterfront holiday tradition returns on Saturday, December 14th!

Sausalito's Lighted Boat Parade and Fireworks can be seen from Gabrielson Park, Humboldt Avenue and Anchor Street.

Catch dozens of brightly lit and beautifully decorated boats parade along the scenic Sausalito shoreline. There will also be food trucks & no-host bars.

Note: The boat parade starts at 6pm; followed immediately thereafter (7:15pm) with fireworks above the Bay.

The Downtown San Rafael Business Improvement District invites you to attend their annual Holiday of Lights and Winter Wonderland on "Shop Small" Saturday, November 30th.

This year’s event will feature a variety of holiday exhibitors, food trucks, local merchants, non-profits, kids rides and games, inflatables, hands-on art activities, a DJ playing holiday favorites in the Plaza, plus Santa and Friends. And at 5:30pm the event caps off with the annual lighting of the tree.

Throughout Downtowl, there will be an Elf Hunt, merchant treats & discounts, and a Window Decorating Contest!

Santa Claus returns to Nick's Cove via his water sleigh on Sunday, December 1st from 1pm - 3pm. 

This year Santa will be visiting with families from St. Nick's festive waterfront oyster lounge which will be decked out in holiday lights and decor. He'll be taking free photos with grown-ups, kids and pets. There will also be complementary hot chocolate and cookies as well as seasonal specials served all day in the restaurant.
