Cocktails at the wide bar are a draw at this hot spot from Marin native Margaret Ruiz and her husband, David. A good entry point is the Stillwater Margarita while the more adventurous can dive into King of the Road with absinthe, date and tamarind to ease the Scotch’s way down your throat.
The menu, divided into Little Bites and Bigger Bites, ranges from nachos and grilled squid to fish tacos and Stemple Creek cheeseburger. We’re all in on the low proof beverages, including the Rhythm & Blues with amontillado sherry and two vermouths. The salvaged wood that frames the interior gives the space a distinct, woodsy feel and the casual, West Marin-adjacent vibe extends to the two patios – one streetside, the other out back with fire pits and heat lamps.
