(Wim Hof Method is the extremely popular program to improve health, body, and mind with components including breathing exercises and cold therapy.)
Participants will be ushered into the theatre’s Lagoon Room at 8 a.m. for a Wim Hof breathwork yoga session facilitated by instructors John Whitaker and Joel Threet. After the 45-minute class, the theater temperature will rise to a toasty 76 degrees Fahrenheit, prior to a special screening of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire at 9 a.m. As the film progresses, the temperature will descend to 63 degrees until the “Ice Plunge Intermission”, during which attendees may participate, if they choose, in a Wim Hof Ice Plunge in the Tub full of ice and cold water set up in the main lobby. (This is entirely optional. You can find a photo of it on Cinelounge Instagram page from a previous ice plunge event.)
Attendees will then be offered complimentary hot towels, hot cocoa, hot coffee, and a blanket. Participants will return to the theatre for the remainder of the film.
