Marin Theatre Company (MTC) presents Betrayal by Harold Pinter from October 22 - November 15.

The end is the beginning. Moving backwards and forwards, Betrayal illuminates a seven-year affair between Emma and Jerry, her husband Robert’s closest friend. As the story unravels, the tension between memory and reality is sharpened, revealing shifting perspectives, hidden motives, unspoken power dynamics, and titillating pleasure behind the deception. Laced with Pinter’s signature wit, this piercing drama is a masterclass in what is said — and unsaid — between lovers and friends. Words and silences punctuate the irreversible consequences of long-concealed truths and betrayals which reverberate far beyond a single act.

After helming hit Marin Theatre productions of The Cherry Orchard and Waste, A.C.T. Artistic Director Emerita Carey Perloff returns to Marin Theatre to direct.
