Novato Theater Company presents Shakespeare in Love (May 19 - June 11). The beloved Oscar-winning film comes to life onstage in this imagined story of how young Will Shakespeare is inspired by his muse — the feisty, brilliant and beautiful Viola — to write Romeo & Juliet, his romantic masterpiece. A rollicking tale of mistaken identity, ruthless scheming and backstage theatrics. The production has been adapted by Lee Hall from a screenplay by Marc Norman and Tom Stoppard, and is directed by Nic Moore and Gillian Eichenberger.
