The Marin JCC is hosting a Tribute to the Music of Tito Puente with an amazing California Salsa Swing Band on Saturday, March 8th.
Master timbalero, Wally, leads a world class 9-piece salsa swing band comprised of only the finest musicians in the Bay Area who have performed with artists like Tito Puente Jr., Celia Cruz, Gabino Pampini, Josimar y su yambu, Frankie Vázquez, Rey de La Paz and Rey Sepúlveda; and hail from the US, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Venezuela, and Peru. Together, they create powerful Latin big-band music that will move you like no other.
The night will kick off with Salsa Marin Dance Academy providing free salsa lessons. Empanada and taco food pop-ups will round out this sure-to-be unforgettable night. Concessions, beer, wine, canned cocktails and soft drinks will also be available for purchase. No outside food or beverage is permitted.
