Larkspur's Best Weekly Specials

Half-price wine Mondays, Burgers & Barolo and Sunday fried chicken: your Larkspur week, sorted!

Our Top Picks

Recommendation  #1
Restaurant Picco

Why it's here: Half-price wine on Monday, Barolo with your burger on Wednesday.

Every Monday, every 750ml bottle on Picco's wine list is 50% off, which makes it the night to finally order the bottle you've been eyeing. The Larkspur Chamber of Commerce just named Picco its 2026 Business of the Year, and after more than 20 years on Magnolia Avenue, the exposed-brick dining room still feels like the heart of downtown.

Wednesday is Burgers & Barolo. Chef Michael Reyes grinds an eight-ounce patty in-house from New York steak, brisket, bone marrow and chuck, then stacks it on a house-made black-and-white sesame brioche bun with crispy guanciale, melted Parmesan and a touch of red miso. A rotating selection of Barolo pours by the glass alongside it.

Recommendation #2
Hog Island Larkspur

Why it's here: Fresh oysters, refreshing cocktails, and picture-perfect views of Mt. Tam.

Hog Island's oyster bar serves up one of Marin's tastiest happy hours, Monday through Friday from 4–6pm. Enjoy discounted beer, wine, and cocktails, along with oyster specials and delicious bites from the kitchen.

Happy hour highlights include Oysters on the Half Shell (6 for $15, 12 for $30, or 24 for $60), Chipotle Bourbon Butter Grilled Oysters (4 for $14), and Fried Lingcod Tacos ($10).

Snag a seat on the patio, sip something refreshing, and soak up the gorgeous views of Mt. Tam. It's the perfect spot to unwind after work or grab a bite before hopping on the ferry across the street.

Insider tip: Seating is first-come, first-served, so arrive early! Before heading out, swing by the seafood counter to pick up fresh oysters, Manila clams, or Tomales Bay mussels for a seafood feast at home.

Recommendation #3
Farmshop

Why it's here: A $48 take-out bucket of fried chicken that feeds the whole family on Sundays.

Farmshop's herbed Jidori fried chicken is a Sunday-only treat, available by advance order for pickup. The $48 bucket holds a whole bird cut into ten pieces (and yes, it's gluten-free), enough for four to six people. Ordering opens 15 days ahead, and pickup runs from 12:30pm to 6pm at the Marin Country Mart.

Round out the table with sides like David Little's potato salad, caramelized cauliflower or smashed potatoes, and finish with a lemon or chocolate tart.

Recommendation #4
DJ's Chinese Cuisine

Why it's here: Set lunches and dinners that feed you (and your table) for less.

DJ's weekday lunch special is the move for a midday break on Magnolia Avenue: a main dish with a cup of hot and sour soup, two fried wontons, steamed rice, salad and fruit. The kitchen cooks without MSG, and regulars call it one of the best lunch deals in Marin.

At dinner, the $22.95 Complete Dinner brings a cup of hot and sour soup, a spring roll, steamed or fried rice and ice cream, plus your pick of 12 entrées. Bringing a group? The DJ Dinner is a family-style feast for $58 for two: wor won ton soup, the flaming combination platter, bird's nest seafood, Szechuan chicken, rice and ice cream. Each extra guest ($29 per person, up to five) adds another dish, from shrimp with string beans to Mongolian-style scallops. Ask for a table in the back garden.

Recommendation #5
Perry's on Magnolia

Why it's here: Half-price bottles of wine every Tuesday through the end of the year.

Perry's has brought back its weekly wine special: every Tuesday through December 31, bottles of wine are 50% off for dine-in guests. It turns a regular weeknight into an excuse to split a good bottle on the patio under the redwoods, or settle in at the mahogany bar.

The menu is all-American comfort, done well. Order the French onion soup, the old-fashioned pot roast or the Petrale sole meunière, or keep it casual with Perry's Slyders and a Perry's Burger.

Recommendation #6
Keiko Fish

Why it's here: Omakase from $48, plus a roll you can only get midweek.

Keiko Fish's omakase sets are the easiest way to eat your way through the case on Magnolia Avenue. The $48 Tokyo brings albacore sashimi, edamame, five pieces of nigiri (tuna, yellowtail, salmon, shrimp and whitefish) and a blue crab hand roll. Step up to the $80 Osaka for more nigiri and a baked mussel, or go all in with the $100 Kobe, which adds tai and two pieces of the day's special fish.

Come Tuesday through Thursday for Yoshi's Roll ($25), the only days it's on the menu: shrimp tempura, cream cheese, avocado and cucumber topped with eel, eel sauce and tobiko. Omakase works for takeout too, with the hand roll cut to travel.

Marin Country Mart

Why it's here: A Saturday farmers market, Friday movie nights and kids' programming all week.

Every Saturday from 9am to 2pm, rain or shine, the Mart's farmers market fills the courtyard across from the ferry terminal with about 50 vendors. Shop Tomales Farmstead Creamery cheese, Frog Hollow Farm fruit and Anna's Seafood, then graze your way through Mr. Dim Sum, Roadside Rotisserie, Pizza Matador and Wolf Den Crepes & Raclettes. Live music plays from 11am to 2pm.

On Fridays through October 30, Movie Night starts at 6pm with family films under the sky. Bring a blanket and pick up dinner, beer and wine from the Mart's eateries. Little ones get Mart Littles programming too: free music on Wednesdays (10:30am, in front of Poppy) and Saturdays (9:30am, at the market), plus storytime on Thursdays (11am, in front of Copperfield's).
