The Bungalow Kitchen by Michael Mina

Chef Daniela Vergara, most recently Executive Chef for Michael Mina’s Estiatorio Ornos in downtown San Francisco, is easing into her new role as Executive Chef at Tiburon’s waterfront hot spot.

Up first: zhushing up the menu with her refined takes on the global flavors Mina is known for. While the tuna tartare needs no introduction, King Crab Pasta is dressed for the season with crispy squash blossoms and arugula pesto while Salt-baked Sea Bream is brightened with shaved zucchini, oregano and lemon vinaigrette. New takes on the dessert menu are in the works, while upcoming Sunday Supper themes include Fisherman’s Wharf in June and a celebration of local farmers markets in July.

Cinelounge Tiburon

Dinner and a movie, anyone? How about both at the same place?

Thirteen-time World Pizza Champion Tony Gemignani, who owns and operates San Francisco’s Tony’s Pizza Napoletana and serves up Neapolitan pizza at Slice House's 15 locations, has landed in Tiburon.

Tony’s New York-style – that is, medium-thin with a chew – is now available as 12-inch pies to enjoy with the movie of your choice. Margherita, Pepperoni, The Carnivore and Hawaiian-inspired The Big Kahuna are available. Tony won the World Pizza Cup in Napoli, Italy with the Margherita, so if in doubt, start there for the truest Tony’s experience. Cinelounge also offers wine and beer for purchase to pair with your pizza and movie.

Recommendation #6
Buckeye Roadhouse

In a sign of the world re-aligning with itself, Mill Valley’s Buckeye Roadhouse is bringing back Sunday brunch. The decadent menu includes favorites like:

-- Beignets (Powdered Sugar, Coffee Crème Anglaise, Housemade Jam)

-- Salmon Sandwich (Chipotle Aioli, Avocado, Pancetta, Cilantro, Truffle Fries)

-- Buckeye Benedict (English Muffin, Rosemary Ham, Potato Croquettes)

-- Huevos Rancheros (Crispy Tortilla, Stuffed Pasilla Pepper, Pinto Beans, Avocado)

While a cappuccino or Mimosa always pairs well with the morning’s edibles, we’re partial to the Ramos Fizz or the Roadhouse Bloody Mary which suit the vibes at the rustic bar or inside the chalet-style dining room.
