On Sunday, July 21, the Town of Tiburon will celebrate Jewish culture and diversity with a free outdoor event featuring upscale international cuisine, complimentary wine tasting, live music and interactive activities for all ages.
The second annual Tiburon Jewish Festival will take place 1-4 p.m. at Zelinsky Park. The event is open to residents and visitors alike free of charge; registration is required.
San Francisco-based Israeli reggae artist Lior Ben-Hur and his band will headline the event. The Ferris Wheels, a classic rock cover band led by a Berkeley rabbi, returns from last year.
A variety of booths will offer kosher cuisine reflecting Jewish life around the world - from Middle Eastern favorites such as hummus and shawarma to traditional New York Jewish deli sandwiches and American BBQ. Covenant, a winery featuring vintages from across California and Israel, will host no-cost wine tastings. The festival will also feature activities ranging from cooking demonstrations and paint-and-sip sessions to a kids’ ‘fun zone.’ Seating will be available throughout the park.
